The imposing Orthoclase crystal alone would make this piece highly desirable: exceptionally well crystallized, with a beautifully developed termination and remarkably sharp, clean crystal faces that give it an almost architectural elegance. What makes it particularly unusual, however, is its association with black Tenorite and a delicate coating of Hyalite Opal.
Under UV light, the Hyalite comes spectacularly alive, transforming the specimen into a vivid interplay of fluorescence and colour — an entirely different visual experience from its appearance in daylight.
Yet the true highlight sits prominently upon this monumental Orthoclase: a superb green to yellow-green Fluorite crystal, completely undamaged and beautifully positioned. One corner displays a fascinating natural irregularity in its growth — a genuine caprice of nature rather than damage — while a slightly darker internal phantom adds another layer of depth and character.
The contrast is exceptional: pale, sharply defined Orthoclase, deep black Tenorite, fluorescent Hyalite and the luminous green-yellow Fluorite combine into a specimen that rewards close examination from every angle.
