Pyromorphite (Pb₅(PO₄)₃Cl), hexagonal, from Longkamp Mine, Hunsrück, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Found 2022.
The specimen displays two color variations on quartz matrix: (1) beige crystals and (2) intensely grass-green crystals. Both varieties form prismatic, barrel-shaped crystals with hexagonal symmetry and resinous to adamantine luster. Very well-formed crystal faces and terminations in bouquets on this highly aesthetic specimen. The color range of pyromorphite within a single specimen is characteristic for the Longkamp locality.
