Approximately 5 cm tall diopside crystal from the classic Diopsidrinne at Rotkopf in the Zillertal, Tyrol. The crystal shows well-developed morphology and is largely transparent, making it clearly facetable and suitable for cutting. Specimens of this size and clarity from this historic Alpine locality are distinctly sought after and represent fine examples of Austrian diopside.
