Here is a particularly well-developed Karpholite specimen from the classic locality in Biesenrode in the Harz Mountains.
This mineral is related to the famous tiger's eye, which appears yellow/brown, or the falcon's eye, which appears blue, or the cat's eye, which appears red; however, we in principle have green tiger's eye from the Harz in Germany…green tiger's eye, which exists only in Germany: Karpholite.
