Waterclear and lustrous, light champagner-colored crystals of fluorite from the summit cleft of Weißeck, the highest peak of the Radstätter Tauern, Austria. The sparkling crystals on this matrix specimen feature a beautiful purple core under artificial light, which shifts to a light green under daylight. While this stunning daylight fluorescence is a bit camera-shy, the vibrant color transition is truly captivating in person.
This material formed under extreme alpine conditions within a high-altitude permafrost environment at approximately 2,700 meters above sea level.
