Multi-mineral specimen with a central 5 mm tall spray of brilliant black metallic pseudobrookite crystals together with a black tabular hematite crystal closeby nicely set in a 2.5 cm wide, pale amethyst lined vug in rhyolite matrix from the Thomas Range of Utah. Additional for the paragenesis is a light champagner-colored, lustrous topaz crystal in another vug. Excellent matrix material for the species and locality.
Found in October 1982 according to the attached label. Mounted in a perky box.
