We are pleased to present an exceptional quartz cluster with fossile fungus mycelia , featuring multiple double‑terminated crystals with superb lustre and sharply defined faces. The piece is a true floater, fully crystallized all around and completely free of damage, so every side can be appreciated under the microscope or in the showcase. Within the crystals you can see numerous fossil fungal mycelium inclusions and bacterial strands covered by yellow-brown iron oxides in iron stromatolites. The mineralization took place in karst caves in Devonian mass limestone (formations with large limestone masses, mostly reef limestone) – a globally unique occurrence that makes this specimen a real highlight for any advanced quartz or inclusion collection.
