Here we present a genuine, natural stalactite from the Arta Cave on the island of Mallorca. The specimen shows a very aesthetic and well developed form with clearly visible concentric growth rings, comparable to annual rings in a tree, though correctly referred to as growth bands in speleology. These bands beautifully document the extremely slow formation process over long periods of time through mineral-rich dripping water. The stalactite is authentically UV-reactive, further confirming its mineralogical integrity and adding an appealing visual feature. This piece originates from the renowned Döring Collection.
